When we are heard, we heal. I love listening to my clients’ stories, holding space for their vulnerability and courage. It’s a privilege really. From the time I was a young girl, kids would seek me out for advice on the playground; teachers asked me to talk to their students. As an adult, friends, local pastors, therapists and even an astrologer sent people to my kitchen table. Always ready with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, the conversation flowed.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard the word “should,” I’d be a rich woman. It was clear to me it was all about shedding the “shoulds” in our lives ~ not about changing who we are. Rather, it’s about becoming more of who we are. I gently support my clients in moving beyond the “shoulds” they hold as the benchmarks for their choices in life.  I love watching my clients’ claim their freedom from the self-imposed “should” prison.

For ten years, I worked as a personal assistant to John O’Donohue, Irish poet, author and theologian. Working with John exposed me to a world far beyond my kitchen table ~ which ultimately led to Ireland.

John and I began doing tours in the West of Ireland as a way to reduce his rigorous travel schedule here in the States. It was a wonderful experience and I was blessed to do eight tours with John until his death in 2007.

Those tours with John provided the framework for the Ireland tours my husband and I now offer. These tours are about retreat and meditation. There’s a wonderful mystical side of Ireland that makes these retreats so meaningful. With the downtime, guests are able to reconnect with themselves and with nature. Guests are able to feel the magic and let go of the heavy emotional baggage they’ve been carrying.

John always encouraged me to step beyond my kitchen table and nudged me to take steps to broaden my work in the world. My spiritual coaching path started when I enrolled in Denise Linn’s Soul Coaching® program. This type of coaching focuses on the elements: fire, air, water, earth. There’s a lovely spiritual tone to the work and it helps reveal the truth of who you are and how you can move to a more meaningful place in your relation to the world.

Along the way, I honed my intuitive skills and dove into the world of energy healing, becoming a Reiki Master and advanced SRT (Spiritual Response Therapy) practitioner. I borrow from all these modalities in the work I do with my clients. Each of us is intuitive and I guide my clients in awakening their intuition ~ to hear the inner whispers of wisdom and learn to trust their own information.

I love blending spirituality with my coaching. What’s important to me is the relational aspect with another human being ~ getting to know them in a deeper way and helping them get to know themselves in a deeper way. I help clients discover their own essence and their own piece of God. By awakening heart and spirit, my clients are able to lead their lives fully, eliminating “shoulds” and embracing genuineness.
